Why choose a hands-on activity for team building?
Escape rooms run on a clock. Bar games put a counter between people. Hands-on activities offer something different: busy hands and a quiet mind. When a team sits down to tuft — to build a rug by hand, one row of yarn at a time — the conversation shifts on its own. You don't have to force "team building" to happen: it shows up naturally, because everyone's looking at the same thing, agreeing on a colour, laughing at a wonky line.
It's an activity that doesn't need competition to work. There are no winners or losers — just a team that leaves the session with something that didn't exist that morning. How a team tufting session works
Nada complicado. El equipo llega al taller de TUTU Studio en Barcelona (C/ Diputació 341), cada persona trabaja sobre su propio diseño con la pistola de tufting, con la guía del equipo de TUTU durante la sesión. No se necesita experiencia previa ni habilidad manual especial: se enseña en el momento y se acompaña durante toda la sesión.
El tiempo de la sesión depende del formato elegido. Si tu equipo es más grande que el grupo admitido por sesión, consultad cómo repartir la actividad en turnos antes de confirmar la fecha. Lo importante es que cada persona toca la herramienta, elige color, y participa en construir el resultado final: no es una demostración que se mira, es una actividad que se hace.

What the team takes home (or back to the office)
Tras el acabado final, cada persona conserva una pieza hecha con sus propias manos. Puede encontrar su sitio en casa o en la oficina y convertirse en un recuerdo compartido de la sesión. Muchos equipos deciden juntos, desde el principio, qué diseño quieren hacer y para qué espacio es: eso ya es parte de la dinámica de grupo, antes incluso de empezar a tuftear.
It's a result that outlasts the afternoon itself. A month later, when someone walks past it or steps on it in the office, they remember the session. That doesn't happen with an experience that gets consumed and forgotten.

Esta actividad está pensada para grupos de entre 6 y 12 personas por sesión. Es el rango en el que cada persona tiene sitio de sobra en la mesa de trabajo, recibe atención directa del equipo de TUTU, y el ambiente se mantiene cercano en vez de convertirse en una demostración masiva. Si tu equipo es más grande, consultad la posibilidad de organizar la actividad en varios turnos, según disponibilidad.
Invoice and PO included, no hassle
We know how organising a team building day works from inside a company: you need an invoice with all the correct tax details and, often, a PO number so HR or Finance can approve the spend without friction. At TUTU Studio, that part's sorted — we issue proper invoices and can include your PO number without you having to chase us by email a week later. A detail we think about for the person organising it, not just the people taking part.

How many people can come?

Can the session be run in English?
Yes — we can run the whole session in English if your team needs it. Just let us know when you book so we can prepare in advance.
Do we need any craft experience?
None at all. Everything is taught on the spot, and the TUTU team stays with you step by step throughout the session.
What happens if it rains or the weather's bad?
Nothing — the activity is 100% indoors, in our studio in Barcelona. Weather outside has no effect on the session.
How long does the session last?
