Do I need prior experience? Is it difficult?
No experience needed. Our team guides you step by step from the very start. In less than 5 minutes you'll be tufting like a pro.
What is the minimum age to participate?
We recommend the activity for children over 10. Under-12s must be accompanied by an adult. There is no age limit for adults — everyone is welcome!
The tufting gun looks heavy, is it difficult to use?
Do not worry! Our space features an anti-gravity assistance system that reduces weight and strain on your hands. Even if it is your first time, you will handle it easily with our team help.
How long does a tufting session last?
It depends on the size: 30×30 cm takes about 1.5–2 hours, 50×50 cm about 2.5–3 hours, and larger sizes between 3 and 8 hours.
Can I design my own pattern?
Sí, aunque no hace falta que lleves nada preparado. En el estudio tienes una galería de diseños para elegir en el momento. Y si ya tienes una idea, trae la imagen en el móvil: la proyectamos sobre la tela y empiezas directamente. Las dos opciones cuestan lo mismo y llevan el mismo tiempo. Para el mejor resultado, recomendamos diseños sencillos con líneas claras.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, we recommend booking ahead, especially on weekends and holidays, to secure your spot.
Can I come with friends or my partner?
Absolutely! Each person creates their own piece, working side by side. It's a great shared experience.
What happens if I don't finish in time?
Don't worry — our team will help you complete the tufting part. The finishing (trimming, backing) is done by us after the session.
When can I pick up my finished rug?
El mismo día terminas de tejer tu pieza. A partir de ahí nos ocupamos nosotros del acabado —recorte, limpieza de hilos y backing— para que te la lleves como una alfombra de verdad y no como un trabajo a medias. Suele estar lista en unas dos semanas y te avisamos por WhatsApp cuando puedas venir a recogerla.
Si la necesitas para una fecha concreta, dínoslo y hacemos lo posible por tenerla lista a tiempo.
No vivo en Barcelona, ¿podéis enviármela a casa?
Sí, podemos enviártela a la dirección que nos digas cuando esté terminada. Es lo habitual para quien viene de viaje o de fuera de la ciudad: haces tu alfombra aquí y la recibes en casa.
What does the final finishing include?
When you finish your piece, we carry out the basic finishing included in the session: general trimming, thread clean-up, and a final check.
Detailed finishing is an optional service of manual trimming and outlining of specific areas. Not every piece, nor every one of its areas, allows this kind of work. At the end of your session we review your piece with you and, before you hire the service, we tell you which areas we can work on, which areas are excluded, and the exact price.
This service requires leaving the piece at the studio, and the usual turnaround is 2–3 weeks, though it may vary depending on workload.
